Quicky

 Hey everyone! This week was SPEEDY. Elder Andersen is still working me to death during workout time each morning. He roller bladed 20km while I biked behind him... absolute machine!

Our area is still pretty slow, our teaching pool seems to be getting smaller before it gets bigger. The people we are teaching are progressing, the wards have done a really awesome job helping friendship and watch out for them. Lloyd is still in the hospital because of some complications with his surgery. Please keep him and Nancy in your prayers!

The 30 ward missionaries are doing awesome! Each of them has such a strong desire to help with the work of Salvation. We have given them a few assignments and will continue to give them things they can do to help us, and they'll keep killing it! Some examples of things they are doing are: Putting Books of Mormon is free libraries, Go through an old paper Area book and reach out to people, helping with ESL, and advertising for Lighttheworld.

ON THAT NOTE

Still getting fed every night which is MONEY. Love my wards:)

Our district had 2 baptisms this week! Their names were Lino and Lulu, from Africa. We got the opportunity to interview them and it was so great to hear their amazing little testimonies!

This morning we went on a nice little hike with the district! It was about -11 but we had a blast!

Right after that we went over to Nose hill and Elder Andersen ran while I biked 13 km in the snow... so much adventure!

There are many qualifications for baptism, and many different promises we make at baptism. This is one of my favorite scriptures that talks a bit about those things!

8 And it came to pass that he said unto them: Behold, here are the waters of Mormon (for thus were they called) and now, as ye are desirous to come into the fold of God, and to be called his people, and are willing to bear one another’s burdens, that they may be light;
9 Yea, and are willing to mourn with those that mourn; yea, and comfort those that stand in need of comfort, and to stand as witnesses of God at all times and in all things, and in all places that ye may be in, even until death, that ye may be redeemed of God, and be numbered with those of the first resurrection, that ye may have eternal life—
10 Now I say unto you, if this be the desire of your hearts, what have you against being baptized in the name of the Lord, as a witness before him that ye have entered into a covenant with him, that ye will serve him and keep his commandments, that he may pour out his Spirit more abundantly upon you
Mosiah 18:8-10

Alma the Older was an amazing example of someone who was touched by the power of the Holy Ghost!

Much Love;)
Elder Giles
