July transfers

We got transfer news last night and I will be joining back up with Elder Choi for our 5th transfer together! Wowow that's a long time, but nonetheless, I am very excited to continue working alongside him! Elder Zhong and Johnson will take the south and I will stay in the North. Weird thing, our mission went from 10 zones down to 7 zones. Basically, President combined some of the zones down in the south and took away the YSA zone. Now in Calgary we only have Central, South, East, and West. West is a combination of Mandarin and English; East is YSA, First nations, and English; Central is Spanish and English; and South is Tagalog and English. It just makes so much sense now! President Keung is full of revelation.

This week has been crazzzzy! You know, the usual daily ESL grind. Making fire content. Training other missionaries how to teach ESL. And teaching all our friends both English and the Gospel!

It actually got up to 33 degrees... Albertans are thinking this is the end!

Also, we had our first in-person sacrament meeting in the branch! We had a solid attendance of 15 which made it really easy to social distance and stay safe. I was so happy to feel the spirit of the sacrament meeting once again. Brother Salmon spoke on "Seeing God's hand in our lives" and was able to bring the spirit into the meeting very well!

Proverbs 3:5–6
5.Trust in the Lord with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding.
6 In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.

Super simple scripture but very powerful! Trust in the Lord with ALL thine heart, and he will direct thy paths. I know that as we apply this simple scripture into our lives, we will see God's hand in our lives more and more.

Love you all!
Elder Giles
