Happy Monday, Family, and Friends! How is your week going so far? How is it down there not having to wear masks or social distance? Things are still the same up here. Life is good! People are still accepting the gospel left and right, and Elder Isom and I have the privilege of helping them along the path!
Pretty excited to come home but it doesn't feel like it's very close still... I know it's gonna hit me like a truck but I'm excited for the day.
Here are a couple of highlights from the week:)
Max's Baptism
Our friend Max got baptized! He chose me to confirm him a member of the church. I think that was my first time confirming someone in English!! The spirit was strong, he said something along the lines of "I didn't think I could ever have this kind of peaceful feeling during the day". He is so receptive to the Holy Ghost.
Zone Conference and MLC
I had my last zone conference and MLC this week. It was also President Keung's last round of MLC and zone conferences. I got to give my "departing testimony" which was weird. Elder Sam Wong joined virtually for 10 minutes and dropped some wisdom. He talked about the importance of staying in touch with your mission president, praying for them, and remembering that it is just the beginning. This is a gospel of ongoing revelation!!
Lizelle
Last week we started talking to this nice lady and her daughter. She mentioned that her friend was a member of the church, she also noted that it was amazing that God crossed our paths in such a timely matter! We called her later that day and prayed with her to bring some peace into their lives. The next day, they got in a car accident and rolled the car... she didn't use her phone for the next couple of days so we lost contact, but finally got a call from them on Saturday night! Everything turned out okay other than a broken knee and a couple of stitches in her foot. We were able to connect the missionaries that live in their area and have a good discussion. Lizelle went to church yesterday and is learning more about the gospel!
Helaman 10:15-17
15 And it came to pass that when Nephi had declared unto them the word, behold, they did still harden their hearts and would not hearken unto his words; therefore they did revile against him and did seek to lay their hands upon him that they might cast him into prison.
16 But behold, the power of God was with him, and they could not take him to cast him into prison, for he was taken by the Spirit and conveyed away out of the midst of them.
17 And it came to pass that thus he did go forth in the Spirit, from multitude to multitude, declaring the word of God, even until he had declared it unto them all, or sent it forth among all the people.
This is great work.
See you soon:)
