Elder Ryan Giles is currently serving in the Calgary Canada Mission. He reported to the MTC on Wednesday June 19th. He is planning to teach the gospel in the Mandarin Chinese language. Ryan is eager and excited to get to Canada! He is going to make an incredible missionary.
He sent us a note today that he's made it and that he's so happy. His missionary companion is Elder Vincent, who happens to be who Ryan anticipated his companion would be. One of Ryan's friends told him that she had a friend who opened his mission call the same day as Ryan, and that he was going to the same mission, same language, and would report the same day. Ryan reached out to him on Instagram and introduced himself. Ryan joked that Jack Vincent would be his mission companion. He sent us a very quick email that said "WAHOO! Elder Jack Vincent is my MTC companion!"
